| Shanghai gets his name from a beautiful song by John Denver called "Shanghai Breezes". His Grand sire "Borderfame Heart N Soul " is named after that famous folk singer. They call him Denver. Thus the connection. Now of all the John Denver songs, I particularly picked this song because, I believe Shanghai Breezes is one of the most beautiful song that John Denver ever sang and what better name for a beautiful blue dog! | Rowdy, Hot Shot Chill Factor is named after his Famous sire Borderfame Choc Chill. I couldn't think of a call name to go with his registered name, so being a Clint Eastwood fan, I picked Rowdy. A real handsome ramrod Eastwood played on Rawhide - Rowdy Yates. And besides, as a pup Rowdy was known for being very boisterous and being a little ROWDY. |
| Braeyden gets his name from a newspaper headline the day after the Indianapolis Colts won the Super bowl. The paper called Peyton Manning "The Reignmaker" - One who Achieves Excellence. What a name for a promising young dog, I thought. But, what to call him?? I ponder this question for a few days. Then, I happened to take Braeyden to herding classes. He was 10 weeks old. The herding instructor asked if she could show him sheep for the first time. I did not realize she would let him down on the ground. Oh No, I thought my puppy was a goner. To my surprise, he reacted so BOLD & BRAVE. He was not afraid of the sheep at all. As he stood out in that field I realized I had to name him something meaning BRAVE - Braeyden - the perfect name. PS I put A E in his name on purpose.- a common sound heard yelled out by Cajun folks when dancing is " aye eee". |
